Anima has dispatched its finest sleuths to Annecy Festival to track down shorts and features, along with projects that will tomorrow make the difference. See you in Annecy from June 6 to 11!
TDT3D and Anima competition

The results of this competition, with a number of prizes up for grabs, will be announced at Anima's closing ceremony.

Selecting the short films for 2011 has now finished. Anima received a record number of 1097 shorts.
About selection
Submission for short films for Anima 2011 is now closed. We have received over 1000 shorts coming from .nearly 50 countries. We are still accepting submissions for features for a while longer. You can check out the results of the short film selection in decemberr, on the website, and directors of the films chosen will also be notified personally.

The Swiss Fantoche festival in Baden finished on 12th September with a few surprises in the list of prizewinners.

Fantoche 2010
You have till May 31 to enter your film for the Fantoche Animation Festival in Switzerland, set to take place from 7th to 12th September.
Unidentified Visual Objects at Namur!
The excellent Namur Festival of Short Films (Media 10/10) is innovating with a European Competition for Experimental Film (UVO, Unidentified Visual Objects).
The deadline for submitting films is 2nd August 2010 and the festival will take place from 16th to 20th November.
Klik Amsterdam
You have till 15th May to enter your film for the KLIK Festival in Amsterdam, set to take place from 16th to 19th September.
Stuttgart 2010
The Stuttgart Animation Festival is taking place from 4th to 9th May this year, with a very sizable competition
Anima around the world
The China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) is running in Hangzhou till 4th May. Françoise Cathala is there representing Anima and presenting the Best of Anima.
The 10th edition of the Meknes Animation Festival will also be taking place from 5th to 14th May and Philippe Moins will be a member of the international jury along with Florence Miailhe and Paul Driessen.
The Annecy Festival
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is taking place from 7th to 12th June this year, and will also be celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Cartoon Movie will be taking place from 3rd to 5th March in Lyon.

Reserve your passport for all the Anima Festival screenings. This passport gives you admission to around 100 screenings, including the opening night, the Animated Night on Saturday 13thFebruary from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, the special VJing party on Sunday 14th February from 8:30 pm till midnight and the closing ceremony.

Fantoche in Baden from 8th to 13th September
The Fantoche Festival will be taking place in Baden, Switzerland, from the 8th to 13th September.
With an international and Swiss competition and an inviting programme, our Swiss friends are putting on a great spread for the 7th edition of their festival.
Anima in Annecy

Countdown to Anima 2010!
The next Anima will take place from 12 to 20 February 2010 in Flagey, Brussels (from 10/2 for schools). Industry professionals will be able to find entry forms and regulations for the next festival on this site from May 2009. But, come by and visit before then to catch the regular updates.

Skhizein, the short by Jérémy Clapin (France) is the winner of the Anima 2009 Grand prix offered by the Région de Bruxelles Capitale.
Extra screening of Wallace & Gromit in the original version
In view of great demand, an extra screening of Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death has been added on 25 February at 2:00 pm in Studio 5. The film will be shown in the English original version with subtitles.

A workshop for children at Anima

Deadlines and the Anima 2009 programme

The "Samedis d'Anima" Saturday afternoon film shows are starting up again at Flagey (Brussels) on 11th October with "the little mole".
On the bill this season are different animated films made especially for the little ones and a party atmosphere guaranteed...
